Membership Fees

Membership fees cover the cost of Australian Baseball Federation (ABF) insurance, the purchase of match balls, umpiring fees, ground hire etc and are kept as low as financially possible for the benefit of both the League and our members. A minimum component of each member's fee, usually around $50, needs to be paid prior to them participating in their first game to allow the League to update the ABF database which in turn, ensures the member is covered under the ABF insurance.

The fees fall into two categories for which there are two payment plans each.

ADULT fees:

  • the minimum component paid by the first game then the balance of the full amount paid by a pre-determined date
  • the minimum component paid by the first game then an amount paid for each game played thereafter. This allows for those members who know they will not be able to play every game of the season eg shift workers etc, and is capped at an amount determined by the committee

U18/full time student/unemployed fees:

  • the minimum component paid by the first game then the balance of the full amount paid by a pre-determined date
  • the minimum component paid by the first game then an amount paid for each game played thereafter. This allows for those members who know they will not be able to play every game of the season and is capped at an amount determined by the committee

Payment plans for other circumstances are at the discretion of each team manager and/or the committee.

NB in the 2013/14 season, the league trialled a raffle whereby all those members who paid their FULL membership by a pre-determined date, could win a refund of their full membership. This proved to be a success so MAY be continued in the upcoming season dependent upon a decision by the committee.
