The 2009/2010 season was a good one for Baseball Tasmania, with all four teams competing well and the league being left in a strong position. To ensure that we build on last season's success, the 2010 Annual General Meeting will be held at 5:00pm Sunday 18^th July 2010 upstairs at the the New Sydney Hotel on Bathurst St.

Last year, the league started on the back foot as no-one attended the AGM and the committee could not be ratified, leaving us very little time initially to get the season started. So we are asking that all 2009/2010 financial members make the effort to come to the AGM so as a legally standing committee can be voted in and ratified and the work to prepare for the 2010/2011 season can begin.

While we encourage and welcome anyone with the willingness to volunteer their time on the committee, we will not force anyone into a committee role who does not want to fill one. But we need the membership on board to ensure you have a league to play in next season and committee setup to run it.

The AGM will run from 5:00 to 5:30pm in the upstairs conference room at the New Sydney Hotel. We would then like to see members and their families stick around afterwards for a counter meal. As we will be looking at sponsorship options next season, a show of patronage at the AGM could very well put us in good stead with the New Sydney Hotel.
